I have just found out that I am pregnant, I am in shock and feel a complete fool, I thought I was getting menopausal and only did the test to reassure myself. I have 2 DS's 16 and 15 and DH of 20 years.

Is there anyone out there who has experience of pregnancy at this late stage, there are so many risks, I just don't know what to do. On one hand it feels terribly wrong, I'm very happy with my lot and don't know if I can get through this, on the other I feel like I've won the lottery, what are the chances. I know that over 50% end in miscarriage at my age. Any advice people can give me would be really appreciated.

Hi,
I am 46, and 39 weeks, yes it was a shock, we have 2 children 8 and 10.
We tried to have another after my youngest, but had 3 miscarriage.
Then I become self employed. So it was an accident, as had come to terms with not having a 3 rd.The tests came back less chance of problems then my other two. So figure that.

I am starting to think it’s a miracle, it will be hard, for the first few years.
But I feel it’s a blessing, and meant to be. Good luck.
