I'm 38 weeks today and been having diarrhoea since Sunday morning. I've also got crampy feelings and occasional sharp pains in my pelvis and midwife says the baby is 2/5 engaged. I gather that this is quite common in late pregnancy.

What I'm wondering is - it it likely I'll be in this state for another couple of weeks yet? I can cope with the aches and pains but the running to the loo bit is wearing a bit thin and it's only been 2 days!

Anyone with any experience of this?

Hi,
I dont have any advce for you Im affraid but just wanted to say that I am 38 weeks tomorrow and 4/5 engaged and today my stools were alittle loose!
I have been told that having the runs is a good sign as it colud be your body getting rid of everything ready for labour!
Ill keep my fingers crossed for you and hope that the diarrhoea passes! :)

I read somewhere that diarrhoea is one of the signs that the baby wont be far off, as cher said, it's a way of your body expelling everything so that you are ready for labour. I have had it quite a bit in the past few weeks.
