Hi again.. I posted last week about various concerns and went for a viability scan on Friday which showed that everything was fine but today I have started bleeding... light pink when I wipe. Only noticed about half an hour ago and seems to be a bit more each time I check..

What should I do??

Hi Gina! I’m glad youre off the aspirin and on medication - can you tell me what it’s called so I can ask my doctor about it?
Are you in the UK? I’m also under consultant care this time around, but like I said, their advice isn’t conservative enough for me. Have a look at the babycenter website - they have a whole group for women with SCH!! A ton of success stories about bedrest and all manner of kale smoothie recipes! It really should go away in most cases so try not to worry too much! . I know my post sounds scary but that’s because I find too many posts don’t sound scary enough. I find that I’m far more calm having a plan than being told not to worry about!!!

mumsyme2 · 26/07/2021 07:41

Please keep in the loop. I had a massive bleed last week (after much running around) but baby is fine. Im now on bedrest and no bleeding. Will scan at the end of the week.
The pill your on seems to do the equivalent of bedrest. But rmemeber - water, kale, Vit C tabs and Arnica Montana pillules seem to be the most helpful in treating this according to other women so please start with those for now!
Again please don’t worry too much. As a reminder, even my massive SCH didn’t hurt the baby - heartbeat and everything - they’re very resiliant in there!!

ginandoreos · 26/07/2021 08:41

@mumsyme2 Hi, yes - in the UK. He has put me on Nifedipene - perhaps this can be helpful for you too, but as we know treatment plans differ vastly...!

Will be buying kale and berries today for smoothies!

Just really hope it goes away on its own, the recurrent miscarriage is hard enough to deal with, but then when we get chucks extra complications it all seems so unfair 🙄.

Thank you - I do find some threads so useful but also I end up scaring myself and adding to the anxiety.

Full bedrest isn't really an option but I am avoiding heavy lifting and trying to rest as much as possible...

I hope you are doing okay? How many weeks are you? Take care and thank you so much for all of your advice it is much appreciated xxxxx

mumsyme2 · 26/07/2021 10:07

I’m 7 weeks now, so still very early ! I’ll let you know how the scan goes !

bluepixie · 26/07/2021 20:13

@mumsyme2 thanks for your info on this page. I have one which is 2cm by 0.5cm and told not to worry. I’ve had 4/5 episodes of red bleeding up to now - am 12 weeks but told My sch is very small. Do U know the size urs was? I’m sorry for the loss of ur baby :(

@ginandoreos do u mind me asking u the size of yours? Are u bleeding with it?

ginandoreos · 26/07/2021 20:37

Hi @Cream123, at a 6+3 scan it was 2cm by 1cm. At an 8+3 scan it had stayed the same size. Which I was disappointed by (as obviously the hope is that it will shrink/disappear!) - but at least it was then smaller in relation to the pregnancy sack. I have a scan tomorrow at 10+4 (petrified - I have had recurrent pregnancy loss and I don't have lots of symptoms) so... will see what happens then.

As yet I have had no bleeding. I was taking aspirin as part of my recurrent miscarriage treatment but stopped that after the 8w scan. I take 2 progesterone pessaries daily. I was also prescribed Nifedipine which apparently lowers blood pressure and aims to stop my womb contracting to dispel the haematoma (Also other medications for recurrent loss).

Hope this helps, it's so hard isn't it xxx

bluepixie · 26/07/2021 21:50

@ginandoreos I’ve also had 6mc in the past and am terrified! And this is an ivf pregnancy. Sounds like our haematomas are same size but your consultant is taking it seriously. Am worried now. My last scan was at 10 plus 4 I had a bleed at 11 weeks but I’m waiting till 12 plus 4 for my scan as I’m too scared! I’ve got terrible sickness which reassures me but it’s hard after so many losses

I’ve also stopped my asprin

bluepixie · 26/07/2021 21:51

@ginandoreos good luck for your scan tmrw and keep me posted . It’s so hard!

mumsyme2 · 27/07/2021 03:29

@cream123 please read my previous posts and recommendations. It’s extremely important that your doctor takes this seriously.

bluepixie · 27/07/2021 16:13

@mumsyme2 I’m doing all those things and already on progesterone as ivf pregnancy. It’s just my doctor think it’s small and not worried over it.

mumsyme2 · 27/07/2021 17:55

@Cream123 great. You will be fine because its sounds like you're managing it. To answer your question, my scan was 5cm at 13 weeks when it broke. I have a scan on Friday to check how the baby is doing, so fingers crossed @ginandoreos Any news from your scan today?

ginandoreos · 27/07/2021 18:02

Hi ladies,

Just to say things went well today. It was an abdominal scan - not sure if that gives the same 'view' - but she couldn't see the haematoma 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼. Still not able to see past the next couple of weeks yet... but feeling very grateful at this point. Shattered now as today's anxiety was a battle.

Really hoping your scan goes well on Friday @mumsyme2 ❤️. Sending love whilst you endure the wait, it's so hard xxxxxxxxxxxxx

bluepixie · 27/07/2021 18:41

@ginandoreos congrats that’s wonderful. I’m waiting for my dating scan on Friday when I’ll be 12 plus 4 I’m so worried about it too. Just exhausting all of it.
Maybe your sch has gone as mine was seen at 10 plus 4 on abdominal scan (first time ever seen)

@mumsyme2 good luck for your scan too x

mumsyme2 · 27/07/2021 21:17

That's GREAT NEWS @ginandoreos !!! yay! @Cream123 I guess we'll both be posting on Friday then! Good luck to both of us and lots of prayers xxx

ginandoreos · 27/07/2021 21:22

@Cream123 and @mumsyme2 I have everything crossed for you for Friday, almost there. 🤞🏼🤞🏼❤️

I've definitely upped my water drinking these past few days after reading your post @mumsyme2, plus the vit C tablets and kale smoothies. I wonder if it helped - regardless it's a healthy approach 👍🏼
(to counteract the crisps I seem addicted to 🙈)

Take care ladies and do let me know so you get on xxxxx

bluepixie · 31/07/2021 18:56

Had my scan and all ok at 12 plus 4
Sch there but continues to be thin and sonographer wouldn’t have mentioned it she said as it was hard to see and small until I asked her where it was

Not had Any more bleeding so just need to hope it continues to be ok

Good luck to u both!

ginandoreos · 31/07/2021 19:26
