Am having DC4, 1 and 2 were boys and 3 was a girl,

I didn't have a clue with them but now that I have experienced both sex pregnancies I'm leaning towards a boy with this one, am only 7 weeks though so probably wayyyy to early to even have a guess!

I felt all lovey-dovey owards DH with DD and hated him when carrying my sons and I am feeling a distinct dislike towards him lately Grin

I was convinced that my DD was a boy - called her him the whole way through. When she was born didn't even bother to ask what sex the baby was. So I don't rely on my hunches now! Congratulations on number 4 - v.envious!

I didn't, but when i told my DS2 that i was going to have a baby, he told me it was a girl. He was adamant he was going to have a bay sister and no ammount of telling him that it might be a boy would persuade him. It was a girl.

Then when i told him i was pregnant again, he said 'Oh good, a baby brother!' and despite me telling him it could be a girl, he was convinced it was a boy. He was right again.

I "knew" from very early on that I was having a boy. Was certain. And I was right :)

hmm so hunches not reliable but siblings are!

Troublle there as each lad has a different opinion!

And my little cousin says its a cat!

The second time I saw LO was at my 11 weeks scan, I was then convinced it will be a boy. This was confirmed at the 20 weeks scan. I now have a very lively 7 months DS Smile

LOL at Totoros little cousin

was right with both mine... with DD I had a dream a couple of days before the 20 week scan and in it she was a girl, we found out at the scan and I was right (I should point out from waking from the dream it just felt right)...

this time around I wasn't so sure - and we decided not to find out at 20 week scan... but as time went on I leant more and more towards it being a boy - to the point I stressed hugely to DD we couldn't promise it would be a girl and we just had to see what came out Grin - she desperately wanted a sister to begin with... then stopped talking about it - then about a month before he was born, decided she was having a brother... don't know if that was a fluke or not?!

I was absolutely convinced I was having a boy right from the start (I knew I was pg 2 days before I got my BFP), and was very very surprised when they presented me with my beautiful baby girl!

Marjee · 05/09/2010 12:10

Early on I thought I was having a girl but everyone said it was a boy. At about 14 weeks I changed my mind and was convinced I was having a boy, according to the old wives tales I had a boy shaped bump! We found out by accident at my 20 week scan when he flashed his bits 2 minutes after I'd said we didn't want to know the sex!

amidaiwish · 05/09/2010 12:13

i was adamant DD1 was a girl. all the "signs" suggested girl.
at her birth i saw the umbilical cord and said, "so have we decided on Luke then?" and it was only when the midwife and dh said "it's a girl!!" that i realised Smile. i was so sure.

amidaiwish · 05/09/2010 12:13

doh! i mean all the signs suggested boy!

Poppet45 · 05/09/2010 13:26

I just knew it was a boy. Never even looked at girls' names I was that sure. And I was right. I had the classic boy bump, no morning sickness, slower fetal heartrate, and that Chinese predictor thing said boy, but most of all I just knew, right from really early on - even before the first scan. Just as bloody well really, cocky mare that I was.
Apparently mums have 70 per cent odds of guessing correctly so there is something to it. But more women tend to guess they are having boys than actually do have.

MissCKitty · 05/09/2010 13:35

Am currently 19 weeks with #1. I have no idea what it might be but DP and all the girls at work are convinced its a boy. Not sure why. Although judging by the game of football it was having last night, it might well be. Got my 20 wk scan a week on tues day so going to find out then Smile

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 05/09/2010 13:55

I 'knew' with each of mine, and was right with all 3 of them. I'm also uncannily good at predicting the sex of friends' babies.
