Hi Hannah, bumping you up.

I have no advice (DD was early) but you have my sympathies. Wow, two weeks over with twins! You must be so uncomfortable.

DuelingFanjo · 05/09/2010 09:25

Two weeks with Twins and they refuse to induce you! Poor thing. That's highly unusual and I would complain.

Lulumaam · 05/09/2010 09:33

I am frankly, staggered that in a high risk pregnancy you ae not being induced or given information about this

it is really unusual for twin pregnancy to go overdue, and certainly to be 2 weeks over and no discussion of induction.

what have you asked and what have you been told

are you being left until labour starts ? if so, you should be offered expectnat management

when is your next midwife or consultatn appt?

They may be concerned that interfering when you and the twins seem okay (well apart from you being fed-up and probably hugely uncomfortable) is more risky. I have read that induction is slightly riskier than usual with twins, because fetal distress is slightly more of a risk with an induction anyway and with a twin birth you've got to be concerned that the 2nd twin will be okay as they have to go through more anyway.

I'm surprised they're not talking CS at this stage though!

I'm hoping you haven't replied as something positive is happening!
I'm a twin and my mum went 3 days over with us. I know she was seriously uncomfortable and was desperate to get us out naturally. As soon as they started getting her ready for an induction she started labour. Then her labour was long and they started preparing her for emcs but things sped up naturally.
Fingers crossed all goes well for you. Good luck.
