Hi all,

I have a friend who i havn't seen for a couple of months. She's just told me that she's pregnant but has terrible heartburn. I am seeing her this afternoon and would like to take a small present (obviously wine out of the question now!) and was thinking chocs, but if she has heartburn, she might not fancy/appreciate them and i don't want to appear insensitive. so do you have heartburn? what would be a nice thoughtful present? all ideas appreciated.

thanks

Some Rennie Soft Chews. No joke, they are a life saver when you have heartburn!

Other than that, I could never really figure out what specifically it was that made my heartburn worse so it might be different from person to person.

Maybe chocs AND some Rennie Soft Chews! I would love you for that!

p.s. how thoughtful and nice of you!

Ice cream. It did wonders for mu heartburn and was the only 'treat' type thing I could handle.

my, obviously

Oooh yes, ice cream and gaviscon!! Fabulous... icecream might be a bit tricky as a pressie though? Milkshake? I loved those, or if all else fails CAKE!!! I think the fact you'd even bothered to think about her heartburn would be really appreciated.

Large box of gaviscon dual action tablets. The do it for me at 31 weeks Grin

Oh, and milkshake too.

thank you for your help ladies, I don't think i'll be able to do ice cream, so i think a quick trip to thorntons followed by superdrug ( for gaviscon and rennie) is the order of my morning.

thank you again :-)
