I'm nearly 16 weeks and although my diet is a little more wide ranging than a few weeks ago, I'm still extremely limited and funny with food. I'm still constantly getting the 'open fridge sigh close fridge' syndrome. I seem to find a new food I can manage, eat it ALOT and then go off it, and I'm running seriously low on options again.

I was led to believe (by the same people that told me my morning sickness would go at 12 weeks Hmm ) that I'd be back on food normally by now.

When is it usual to fancy food like a normal person and actually be able to cook/eat a variety of foods?

I'm serioiusly starting to think I'll never feel decent the entire prgnancy after still getting bad exhaustion (no my iron isn't low), nausea, headaches etc etc etc (best stop that rant before I go on all day).

Poor you angels1 - it's horrid that feeling of not knowing what you want to eat, or even not knowing if you want to eat. I have had exactly the same in this pregnancy (nos 3). It did go somewhere around 18 - 22 weeks (sorry to be so vague) but has come back again now towards the end (am now 37 + 4). However, I have had quite serious anemia (HB at it's lowest was below 9 and the highest it has got to is 9.7) so maybe the iron tablets are contributing to my lack of appetite.
Each pregnancy is different - not everyone does have the wonderful, blooming phase, but if you are going to get it, in my experience it starts around 20/22 weeks.

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

I haven't got mine back yet and am 35 weeks tomorrow. Have had Hyperemesis on and off throughout and no appetite whatsoever. this week is a toast and soup week, last was a jacket spud and cheese week. All very strange and I was the total opposite in my first pregnancy.

Sorry it's so rough but take heart from not being the only one!

I feel your pain, I am 19 weeks and still waiting!

It's rubbish and if DH asks me one more time what I fancy to eat, I may need to plead temporary insanity!

I was very similar to you when pg with DD. It had to be what I fancied at that moment in time or else nothing. I seem to remember it getting better around 20 weeks, though it did stay the same in many ways. For example, towards the end all I would eat was pepperoni pizza and curry (not together), however I would only actually eat the curry sauce with nan bread and no meat (I know, its weird). I went through a 'runny eggs' stage too at the end. Don't worry, just enjoy :)
