I'm about to do a big Amazon order (for delivery whilst I'm in the country to receive it) and need your top books for pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding!

Clearly the MN guides to pregnancy and babies are a given....

TIA :)

Yehudi Gordon's Birth and Beyond was great - covered all of that plus first 9 months of baby's life and huge health/medical section at the back (for both mum and baby).

What to expect when you're expecting/in the first year

I love the approach of Sears & Sears "The Baby Book". Our baby hasn't arrived yet, so yet to see if it "works". I got a lot of baby books out of our local library to see which ones suited us before buying them.

I second Yehudi Gordon's Birth and Beyond. Really thorough and interesting.

I wouldn't buy too many, as the information is basically all the same, just in a different tone perhaps. Can you flick through them in a bookshop, library or online first to see which ones fit with your style?
