...feel the baby move earlier? With DD I felt flutters from almost 16 weeks, but I'm 16+1 now and have felt very occasional taps, though my placenta is posterior. Have heard heartbeat at 14 weeks and this week, but am am trying not to worry [neurotic mummy emoticon]

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I did, but I'm sure it's not the case for everyone. :)

Bradyboo · 03/09/2010 21:10

I'm expecting my second in December and don't feel this baby move as much as my DS. Asked Midwife and said sometimes placenta acts more as a cushion which I think is happening in my case. I was also really worried about it and only just starting to get a bit more movement (26 weeks).

nickytwotimes · 03/09/2010 21:11

I didn't feel it any earlier.

LauraNorder · 03/09/2010 21:12

I didn't. Felt DD (1st preg) move in week 17.

DS (2nd preg) I remember going to my 20 week scan really really worried as I hadn't felt him move but there he was wriggling away on the screen, couldn't feel a thing.

DD2 (3rd preg) I felt about 16 - 17 weeks.

goandshowdaddy · 03/09/2010 21:31

Nope, felt DS at 16 weeks and this one at 18 weeks.

Hevster · 03/09/2010 21:39

I felt DD1 at 24 weeks and this one at 14 weeks, however this DD has been a lot more active than DD1

DetectivePotato · 03/09/2010 22:03

Oh good, I was going to ask this same question.

I felt DS at 16 weeks, he was a right wiggler. This time I have felt very light flutters which could almost be wind but I am 17 weeks and it is nothing like with DS.

Wanderingsheep · 03/09/2010 22:08

I'm 15 weeks and haven't felt anything, although I only felt DD at 21 weeks.

Does your placenta tend to grow in a similar place in each pregnancy, as mine was anterior last time, or does it not matter? Just wondering.

goodlifemummy · 04/09/2010 04:15

DTD's - 15 weeks
DC3 - 19 weeks (now 25 weeks)

Bradyboo · 04/09/2010 22:05

Wanderingsheep - I think that the placenta grows differently with each pregnancy x

Julezboo · 04/09/2010 22:12

So glad you posted this!

DS1 it was about 20-21 weeks
DS2 it was around 14 weeks I knew for definate.

I am also 17 weeks and felt one or two flutters but nothing more! Was starting to worry.

Plumm · 04/09/2010 22:27

I've been worrying about this too! DD was about 16 weeks but I'm now 17 weeks and had nothing until yesterday (worried because I thought you definitely felt no.2 earlier).

varicoseveined · 13/09/2010 16:05

Good to know I'm not alone... I'm now 17+4. One day I feel a good few movements, another day barely anything Hmm roll on next ultrasound scan in 4 weeks!

Felt #1 earlier but had an anterior placenta with #2 which is why I couldn't feel her.

thisisyesterday · 13/09/2010 22:15

i didn't. ds1 i felt around 17 weeks, ds2 was more like 19/20 weeks
can't remmeber for ds3

Meglet · 13/09/2010 22:16

No, I didn't.

I felt both my dc's at around 22 weeks.

nagoo · 14/09/2010 01:05

I didn't. Both at 17 weeks, really tiny movements. This one moves loads now though, mush more than DS. Am 30 weeks.

TheUnmentioned · 14/09/2010 08:32

I didnt feel dc1 move until about 19 weeks and then it was proper kicks. This time I have been able to feel flutterings since 13 weeks and dh could feel them through my tummy from 15/16 weeks. Am shocked tbh as am v overweight. This baby moves much less than ds did though in general.

TheUnmentioned · 14/09/2010 08:33

Should say though that movements didnt become an every day thing until 20-22 weeks either time.
