im cofused R:E dating scan confusion.

i found out i was pregnant around at 8 july, but i did a clearblue test on the 12 july im certain of this date, and it said 1-2 weeks, i had my last period on 3 june. i had a scan on 27 august and measured i think 9 weeks and 4/5 days.

im confused.
could i really have found out that early?
or is something wrong going to happen?

got re-scan on 21 sept.

The clearblue tests show you the number of weeks from conception, not how many weeks pregnant you are (which normally you would count from first date of last period or with dating scan) - but they can be very inaccurate, they just measure the amount of HCG hormone in your wee, which can depend on other things too not just dates. If you measured 9 + 5 on 27 Aug, that would mean you conceived around 3/4 July (at 2 weeks). But early scans can also be inaccurate as the fetus is so small - if the sonographer is off by 1mm then it can be plus or minus a week in terms of dates. Most accurate dating scans are around 12-13 weeks, so I would wait until your next scan and not worry about anything - sounds like all is normal so far. If you measured 9 + 5, they must have seen a heartbeat? Which means that all is going well. Good luck.

As the PP said, early scans aren't so accurate, so you could've been a bit further on and have had a positive test very early on (they can go positive from around 9 days after conception).
