Out of Date Pregnancy Tests

I have a Clear Blue Digital CI Pg test at home which I bought when I was pregnant with my DD.

It went out of date at the end of July. If I were to use it, would it give any kind of indication or would it just be unreliable?

What is it that happens which makes Pg tests go out of date?

Info appreciated

Why don't you just buy a new one? You won't completely trust the result whatever it says, even if it is accurate!

Hope you get the result you want!

You're absolutely right, I should but don't want to spend all that money as I think it might all be in my head!

Things that suggest I might be Pg are slight soreness in boobs (dead giveaway last time but not as noticeable just now), queasy yesterday and today, v vivid dreams, boobs seem bigger again, lots of clothes not fitting, but haven't really put on weight anywhere else i.e. my ring and watch still fit, have been ridiculously hormonal/weepy in the last week or so and really tired. Some of these could be put down to other causes some not.

Things that suggest I'm not are the fact I am on trinovum, which I started at the beginning of July when I stopped breastfeeding and am pretty sure I've taken it correctly, I've had withdrawal bleeds at the correct time etc, and last intercourse was 28th July (DP and I don't have a hugely prolific sex life), and I have had a withdrawal bleed period since then.

So you're totally right, I probably won't fully trust it whatever it says.

I definitely would like to have more DCs but this soon wouldn't be the plan. However it is does happen like that then that's fine.

I know no one here can tell me if I'm pg or not, just rambling really.

Thanks for listening Smile

In case anyone is interested, I bought a new test and used both and they both said the same thing - negative, so at least they agreed, x.

Not sure whether to say Congratulations or not, but didn't want you to go un-answered! I guess it is a congratulations as you said you don't want more children just yet. Smile

Think its the chemical or whatever it is in the stick..that reacts with the HCG hormone from the urine..think its only stays active/reliable for a certain length of time. It may be that. Confused
