Painful nips!

Sorry to be blunt but my nipples are absolutely killing me - feels like somebody is cheese grating them - ouch!!! I am 16 weeks pregnant, is this normal?

I hope so because I get this and i'm 31wks. The rest of my boobs are fine, I just get really sore nip nops for no apparent reason.

Same here, rest of boob is ok. But I'd expect it at 31 weeks, not quite as early as 16? And they keep going hard for no apparant reason, very embarrassing at work

Yes sore nips is normal.
When I was at the big chill festival and I could see my breath in the tent my nipples were so errect thought I'd die with the pain!
I'm 25 weeks now and nipples not quite so sore, just more sensitive than usual.

oh i remember that. I had very painful nipps when i was cold. I can remember walking round actually holding them becuase they hurt so much. I must have been about 3 months before it went.

Totally normal. Painful nipples, really hurts when you brush past something or your dd jumps on you! Oh and really prominent blue veins on your boobs, looks very weird. Have only just noticed them second time around and totally forgot they were there in my first pregnancy. Yeah and we are meant to feel sexy when pregnant?! Nobody's coming anywhere near these boobs at the moment!

PMSL Hockeymum - feel the same way about my boobs too - and what's with my nipple taking over my boob area, sorry TMI but it's all very weird !
