I'm currently lying on the sofa willing myself to get up and clean the house. The place is a tip but I just can't find the energy :(

I'm 8.5 weeks now and have been feeling like this since I got my BFP at 4 weeks. Anybody else feel like they are suffering from a permanent hangover? Please tell me there's light at the end of the tunnel.

there is a light at the end of the tunnel, youll be fine and youll get some energy back towards the 2nd trimster, but maybe it would be an idea to ask your gp to do some blood tests, you may be slightly anaemic, i have been aneamic through all of mine, a few iron tablets will help you feel less drained.

I was shattered at your stage. Absolutely shattered - like I had gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. Unfortunately there is little you can do about it but sleep/rest.

You won't feel this tired for the whole time and it will ease up. Just let your feet lead you upstairs to bed...

Thanks dingdong, I've got some pregnacare vits that I haven't really been taking (have been taking folic acid), will start taking the vits too which contain iron. Going for blood tests next week so will mention how I'm feeling to the mw.

Hi There, I am about the same stage as you and was feeling the same but have found that the liquid iron supplement, Spatone, in a glass of pure orange in the morning has really helped. Make sure to leave it at least an hour before you have tea or coffee.

There is hope. I found my energy came back when I was in the second trimester. I am now almost 30 weeks and I have good days and bad days.

My only advice is getting some exercise. It seems to help me keep my energy levels up. If I lie on the couch - that's it for me. I can be there all day. If I go out for a walk generally feel much better.

Good luck.
