Possible hernia? Pain at top of bump

Hi There

I have developed a pain/tenderness at the top of my bump during the course of today. I thought it might have been a pulled muscle, but not sure - really hurts when I laugh/cough/sneeze. There doesn't appear to be a bulge or anything, but I have no experience of hernias! This is my second pg, I had twins 5 years ago, so maybe my stomach muscles are just objecting, but it is focussed in a 5cm area.

Any ideas??

Thanks in advance - night night all!

It could just be an ellow/foot/knee that's got wedged?

If it is still there in a few days then maybe give your midwife a call.

I've got a serious tender/sore patch at the top of my bump all the way across but mainly on the right. I've had it since I was 17 weeks and I'm now 36 weeks. My MW told me it was possibly just stretching muscles or skin, or maybe a trapped nerve. Not really sure but I've got used to it and the baby's fine so I'm not worried.

I wrote a thread about this a couple of days ago (entitled painful ribs).

I have a patch below my left breast which gets very sore and feels like a burning pain.

I think it is the muscle between the ribs and I don't think it is a cause for concern.

It does really hurt though and another MNer advised me to use arnica.

Could be a pulled muscle. Get checked out if it doesn't go.
