...So this may sound gross but at night times lately i seem to be leaking some sort of liquid from 'down there' when turning over in bed.

Now your first guess is probably dare i say it - urine Blush but i dont even feel my bladder is particularly full when it happens and have never had trouble with leaking 'wee' before but the only other thing i have been panicking is that it could be my waters leaking?? - im nearly 32 weeks pregnant so a little early for that but its very strange and doesnt (TMI again!) smell like wee - it has no particualr odor to it.

Anyone else get this??

I can't give you any personal experience her, but I think you should ring your doc or midwife just in case

IMoveTheStars · 27/08/2010 14:09

how long have you been having this for?

I'm with sanielle - I think you need to ring the MW and get checked out just incase your waters are leaking.

ILoveDonaldDraper · 27/08/2010 14:16

I would definitely get medical advice. Its common to leak a bit of wee when you are in the third trimester but I think that would smell like wee and so you would know it was wee. Worst case scenario is that you could be leaking amniotic fluid so you should be checked out asap.

ThatDamnDog · 27/08/2010 14:18

Yes, get it checked. I am definitely leaking wee Blush, and send sympathy if that's what's going on. But best to be on the safe side. Put on a pad so you can check it.

KnitterNotTwitter · 27/08/2010 14:19

put a sanitary pad in your knickers. After a leak give it a sniff - you'll know if it's wee... If you're not sure see a doctor/A&E and make a fuss

YummyMummy1208 · 27/08/2010 14:22

Thanks for your replies.

It only ever happens at night so maybe it is just wee, strange how it doesnt smell of anything though. Confused

Im a bit of a wuss and am scared about looking silly when the midwife checks me out and confirms yes it is just wee you are leaking! Blush although i know its for the safety of baby.

Its been happening for up to a week i suppose, not every night but maybe 3 or 4 nights now.

I will see how i get on tonight and then speak to midwife, im presuming they will do an internal to check if my waters have broken?

The MW will probably ask you to wear a pad and then they will test the fluid - that's what they did with me when my waters broke with DS1. Don't be embarrased - they get asked about this ALL the time. Hope all is well.

sanielle · 27/08/2010 14:34

You will not by a long shot be the first first to leak wee while pregnant. Don't worry about being embarassed in front of the midwife. You are likely to poo yourself in front of her in a few weeks time too. Ring today.

Claz1001 · 27/08/2010 16:12

I had this throughout my 3rd trimester. Got it tested to make sure it wasn't amniotic fluid, which is wasn't. Wasn't wee either, so must just have been particularly runny, er discharge (hate that word, sorry!)

JazzieJeff · 27/08/2010 17:13

Aw OP, please don't be embarrassed. It happens to loads of people. If it's any comfort, I woke up the other night and I was actually starting to wee. Only a drop had come out but I could kind of feel it in the wee tube (sorry, don't know what it's called). Thank God we've got an en-suite, because there's no way I would've made it to the bathroom in time. My body is just to tired at the minute I think, I didn't wake up until it was almost too late Blush

It being summer, you'll probably be drinking lots of fluids and I know that my wee is completely clear atm and I definately can't smell a 'wee' smell when I go to the toilet.

Agree with the other posters though, stick a sanitary towel in right now and get down to the midwife who'll check you out.

YummyMummy1208 · 27/08/2010 19:52

Thanks JazzieJeff. Blush

I feel a bit defeated if it is mind as iv been feeling so proud i havent had any leakages so far in this or my last pregnancy!

Oh well...will see how i get on tonight i suppose!

Thanks for the advice ladies!xx

Get checked out definately.
But if it does not smell, then it probably is not your waters as amniotic fluid has a very definate, distinctive smell.
Good luck!

PortBlacksand · 27/08/2010 20:30

TT is right - amniotic fluid has an almost sweet smell.

FWIW i had loads of discharge with both my pregnancies Confused - couldn't sit on a chair with just a nighty on and no knickers.....

sam26oscar · 27/08/2010 21:39

sorry just had to say sanielle i actually snorted coke a cola out of my nose after reading your post Grin it so true and im still chuckling now!!!

catbus · 27/08/2010 21:42

Could just be increase in discharge? I leak like the clappers now (38 wks) and have done for a while. Have pantliners on all the time. I too have worried about leaking fluid, but in all my pg's I have had crazy leakage when it comes to discharge. Nice.
