Asos.com

If you want something cheap and black - I got their black jersey style wrap dress for a wedding. Very comfy and very nice. Good for boobs and knee length.

Although if you like glamour - Isabella Oliver (expensive)

Jacksmybaby · 26/08/2010 21:29

Try Isabella Oliver.

Expensive but gorgeous.

I got a jersey material maxi dress with gold detail on it from New Look. Really gorgeous and it was only £25. Its really flattering x

MyThumbsHaveGoneWeird · 26/08/2010 22:34

I need one too so will be watching! this is my dream one which I can't afford.

redbird79 · 27/08/2010 09:31

Wow MyThumbs, that's gorgeous! You know, depending on how big your bump is, you might be able to get away with a non-maternity one. I had a similar frock from Principles that I'd bought in the sale for about £50 and had never worn because it made me look pregnant Grin, but when I wore it at 6 months preggers, it actually skimmed my bump beautifully

I wore a Monsson two-layer dress in a size bigger than normal when I had a black tie event at 35 weeks. It was one of those ones with an under bust tie and a soft flowing chiffon style. It worked great and didn't feel too 'maternity'-ish.

elportodelgato · 27/08/2010 09:46

hi round2, have you tried looking at the dresses on Picchu maternity? I wore this to a wedding recently and felt exceptionally glam

Liv77 · 27/08/2010 11:03

I always found Jojomamanbebe good and reasonable priced, especially for online shopping as there are no decent shops where I live. I got a silk dress from there when pregnant with DS and am planning on pulling it out from the back of the wardrobe again for use this christmas. It wasn't black but I havn't looked at there latest offerings so they may have something suitable.

Miffster · 27/08/2010 14:29

How about Crave - there is a voucher code giving you 15% ff orders over a hundred pounds this weekend? Code is AUGUST15 (also you can use code AUGUST10 for 10% off offers over 75 pounds)

Mcyorkshire · 27/08/2010 16:42

I've just bought this dress for a similar event and it feels gorgeous on:)

I have a black tie wedding 5 days before my due date and need a new dress, obviously I'm only going to wear it once so really don't want to spend a lot of money......any ideas?!

Sorry for the slight hijack!
