Have just got back from the doctor and have found out I'm pregnant - despite taking two tests at home which were negative!

We thought it would never happen as I have irregular periods so am just over the moon!

I really want to shout it from the rooftops but can't because I am so early so don't want to jinx it so I want to shout about it on here if that's ok!

Am so excited about this (and a little nervous...!)

:) :) :) :)

I found out on Monday that I'm pregnant. I miscarried a few months back and have been really surprised to get pregnant again so quickly. Obviously my dh knows but we're not telling anyone in real life until after the 12 week scan. I'm so nervous/happy/excited. Congratulations! Smile And I love having a happy secret too!

TheUnmentioned · 25/08/2010 11:53

Congratulations, I know what you mean, Ive conceived twice (ds 3 and 37 weeks) and have irregular periods and both times I couldnt quite believe my luck!

emmyloo2 · 25/08/2010 12:09

Congratulations. I remember when I first found out I was pregnant. It was the most amazing feeling.

What is your due date?

daisystone · 25/08/2010 12:14

Congratulations!! I only found out on Monday that I'm pregnant too, all very exciting although to be honest it doesn't actually like it's really happening IYKWIM. So far only DH & I know will most likely be keeping it that way for a month or two yet :)

daisystone · 25/08/2010 15:29

How can you not know when your due date is?? Surely you have been noting down when your period starts and finishes if you have been trying to conceive?

PickleSarnie · 25/08/2010 15:56

daisystone, I'm sure Nhomi is able to guess based on the date of her last period but I think what she's saying it that because they are so irregular she won't have any clue about when she actually ovulated. That's the real key that determines due date - the first day of last period is just a way of guessing (since it assumes a cycle length of 28 days) until such time the 12 week dating scan takes place.

Nhomi · 25/08/2010 15:57

daisystone, I have only had four periods in the past 12 months which have been entirely random which is why I don't know (it's pretty frustrating not knowing!)

I see! Well I was as regular as clockwork so what do i know! Smile

Nhomi · 25/08/2010 16:10

How I would love to be regular!! :)
It would have made ttc a lot easier!! :)
