Where is the best place to buy good quality but inexpensive maternity clothes? Been looking in the sales and have bought a few things but am going to be at my biggest over Nov and Dec so I need some nice winter clothes and need a nice comfy pair of jeans. Where would you ladies suggest?

new look can do nice maternity stuff, and h&m. but i think they're only good if you're planning to keep the clothes for another pregnancy otherwise it's not cheap and chirpy.

if you want low prices Asda is good, and ebay well i got trousers from there, and most my tops from h&m sales. To be honest in my hunt for cheap clothes i often looked up large sizes for tops, rather than maternity ranges, because they tend to be limited. I found as long as there was a tie just under the breast area on the top, it looked cute with the bump.

If you don't mind hand me downs, if you have any close mates u may want to use theirs?

next is quality but it's not exactly cheap, i got 3 pairs of trousers, then decided no, the pricing is insane considering its just for a few months.

im glad i didn't spend too much on maternity clothing, coz this time round i was changing sizes every few weeks. it's calmed down now. But i remember with my last two the maternity wear i got lasted through til the birth. But this time, i've needed to replace tops for bigger sizes. im massive right now lol.

Im really horrified by the poor quality of maternity clothes in the shops.
Most of them seem to be in really cheap horrid synthetic fabrics or cheapy tshirt material that looks like it will shrink and bobble up and the trousers are so badly designed!

Even if it is just for a few months I want to be comfy and not look like the back end of a bus.

I finally got 2 pairs of work trousers in Gap (1 under and 1 over bump style) which are really nice and comfy and actually fit round the butt. I also tried on trousers in Mothercare, Dorothy Perkins and Next and all were really poorly fitting, the sizing was huge and they were all massive in the seat.

H & M, Gap and Dorothy Perkins. Got some really good jeans in Gap that have seen me all the way through. Also got some very good value work clothes in all 3.

Just found a really lovely pair of over the bump jeans in the NCT online shop and they were only a tenner in the sale!

I agree with the people who mentioned Ebay- for my current pregnancy I've bought 2 fab outfits 2nd hand (Mamas and Papas) and they're fab condition and really cheap. I'd never normally shop there as it's so expensive.

Next for Jeans, H&M and New Look are good for tops.

Have you tried www.heavenlybump.co.uk, they have some fab stuff!
