Blood and Protein in Urine

Hi, I am 17 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child and at routine appt with midwife my urine was showing ++ and blood +++. Midwife has sent it off to be tested, but previous urine test (from about 4wks ago) had come back fine. Blood pressure, etc, are fine and I'v had no problem going to the toilet, etc. I had protein in urine in previous pregnancy, which was checked at hospital, etc, and nothing ever came of it.

Has anyone else had this - what does it mean? Any advice greatly appreciated.

hiya ive posted same thing today went to docs as been feeling unwell took bloods and urine, my wee was showing i had blood in it, which the other week i thought i could see blood in it. i had protein in my urine last preg nothing came of that either.
im worried bout this though its been sent off to be tested, but on phone midwife said not to worry about it

I had exactly the same a few times and it was mainly due to HG. Just had it checked out, checked BP, hydration etc and told not to worry.

Thanks for getting back to me, seems it's maybe a bit more common than I thought - midwife said she didn't know what was causing it. I haven't seen any sign of blood in my urine, but had the feeling protein might show up as it did my last pregnancy. I've been feeling fine otherwise so hopefully results will be okay.

today when i gave her the sample you couldnt see anything just looked normal, but when i found out i was preg, it looked a really strange colour, ayy dear pregnancy it is worrying

im 33 weeks pregnant and my urine is fine at the moment but...all my life I have had a trace of blood and protein in my urine. have had it checked out and doc says its just how I am. Its weird how when I'm pregnant its clear. think its just one of theose things and if everything else is fine then try not to worry. easy to say I know! xx
