Registrar said they had to discuss sterilisation as it's my third section. This then evolved into a discussion on contraception in general. Not exactly what's top of my priorities atm. Although they may be taking advantage of my problems to get me to say ' never again' !

I thought they asked on third sections so they could possible clip your tubes while they're in there?

I'm sure they asked my friend too when she had her third section.

I've had 2 sections but we're stopping there so will never find out for sure I guess.

they do what?? thats awful.. why would you be sterlised! surely thats really extreme!
I know healthy women who have had 8 c sections with NO problems.. granted its not advised, nor clever but i feel like clipping tubes is very definitive!

I said no cos we aren't 100% on no more AND it is less reliable when done during a section. If I get it done later it's key hole surgery so not like I have to be chopped open again.

Perfectly fine for them to ask you now. It makes perfect sense as you are being opened up anyway. I wonder how many of the women are Hmm about the contraception questions soon after baby is born are pregnant very soon after.
