Any Waterloo/Covent Garden/Kennington mums-to-be?

I know it's a long shot as I don't live in a very residential area, but my "local mumsnet" doesn't seem to be that local and I was wondering if any of you live in this area? It feels potentially a bit lonely starting up as a new mum in theatreland, and it would be nice to share views on the local facilities, e.g. St Thomas'.

I'm in that area and am 12weeks with twins. Just got booked in with St Thomas' midwife about 2 hours ago!

How far along are you?

Wow! I'm 15 weeks so we're not that far apart. This is my first. How about you?

Hey Ladies,

I am also close by. I'm 23 weeks and also booked into St Thomas's. I started pregnancy yoga there last week.

Should add this is my first.

Hi Londonsmiles. Only just spotted your message. Hope your pregnancy is going well. (Same goes for Penguindreams). It's great round where I live, as I imagine I can still walk to a lot of places once I have a pram, but the houses and flats are wee and not many people stay here to have families. Me and my partner are hoping to break the mould by squashing up! Still got lots of decluttering to go.

A week ago I had an appointment with a consultant at St Thomas' (who was lovely) and she actually recommended doing the pregnancy yoga/aquapilates there as a way of meeting other local mums, so I am going to see if I can book onto those courses as well.

I don't know if anyone has booked onto an NCT course.

The mystery there is which area to book onto... Anyone gone down this route?
