bleeding at 7 wks, am freaking out please help

well, thats it really. am just over 7 weeks and last night had a heavy bleed and some cramps. has eased off a bit now though. rang the epu but they said cant get a scan til thursday. dont know how to wait til then. really really hoping its not the worst as had been trying for 2 yrs and only just got pg. also had a mc before and couldnt take it again. please has this happened to anyone else and they were able to continue the pregnancy? am so scared.

I'm so sorry to hear that! This must be a really had time for you. I had some bleeding and cramping at around the same time as you. I called my midwife who advised me to book an emergency appointment with the doctors (same day!)

The doctor then referred me to the hospital for a scan two days later although she did say that in some cases they can get you in the same day or the next day. Turned out to be fine! Maybe you could try your GP in the morning?

Private scans are also usually very quick to be able to fit you in and there's in no waiting around at the hospital then either! Whereabouts are you based?

I know this is easier said than done but you must, must try your very best to stay calm and pop your feet up if you can!

i had a bleed at 6 weeks although it was bright red and quite abit hospital couldnt find a cause and said it was implantaion bleed. im suprised they havnt told you to go in as when i bled, they checked my cervix as you can tell by looking what is happening, and also took blood for hcg level to make sure it was right for how many weeks. if i was you id go down to A+E and then they ran a few tests and admitted me to epu. its not right to have to wait til thursday.

I had a bleed at 7 weeks, had a scan and all was fine. Stay calm and push your midwife to speed things up with the scan. Otherwise, if you can afford it, try for a private scan, look up a place near you on the internet.

hi all, just wanted to let u know had a scan done this morning and its all fine yay! am so relieved. there was a heartbeat and everything. the epu were really good but busy so a bit of a wait. v helpful though. so am just going to try to chill now! thanks for all the advice x
