Raspberry Leaf - experiences and effects?

Has anyone any experience of raspberry leaf? I read somewhere that if you start taking it at 32 weeks it can strengthen your uterus and help with labour, I.e making it quicker as your contractions will be stronger? Does anyone know how true this is and if there are any harmful effects to the baby? I bought some capsules and have taken one (am 32 weeks) and baby has gone a bit crazy! She's very active anyway but seems to be moving and wriggling an awful lot more! I'm all for trying to have a better labour but don't want to do anything to jeopardise my baby's health. Any words of wisdom and experience appreciated!

I only tried it when I was overdue, it didn't appear to work as I was 11 days overdue in the end. I had the tea so maybe that wasn't as strong? Also I hated the taste.

Took the tea with both DD and DS, started with one cup at 36 weeks and worked up to three cups a day. Found that Braxton Hicks got a lot stronger and more powerful after taking it. Also got a lot more movement-I assumed this was because they were responding to the extra pressure from the uterus.

I was overdue with both of them and had long labours, but this was due to the fact that both of them were back to back. Contractions werent very painful at all and my pushing stage lasted only three minutes with both of them. I assumed that the rlt helped with this but obviously dont have anything to compare it to!
