Weird pins and needles

Hi,

Don't know if it's nothing or if I need to go and see my midwife, just looking for a bit of advice.

The last few days I have been getting pins and needles in my left thigh when I've been walking. I'm 23 weeks pregnant and have been well so far. It's just a bit weird that it's always my left leg and it goes really tingly, like it's about to go numb but doesn't, if that makes sense.

Anyone experienced the same thing or know whether I'm worrying about nothing?

Cheers x

I had this. I think it was the weight of the baby on a nerve -perhaps the sciatic nerve. Parts of my thigh went totally numb! I remember pins and needles too. Also it was my left leg.

If it's any consolation my baby was in perfect position for birth later on! It continued....

Nothing to worry about as far as I can remember.

Thank you both, will see how it goes. Hope it doesn't turn into full on sciatica.

I have something similar to this on left thigh. Midwife and GP didn;t seem concerned but you should mention it to yours anyway just in case. They will probs want to take your blood pressure.
