The pads look OUTRAGIOUSLY big, like they wouldnt even fit me...

What pads are you getting/ or have used?

ha ha! they will fit. i remember being told, 'oh i used 2 at once when i had dc' and i thought, yeah right they're like nappies! Shock but then i had ds and realised yes it is possible! :o i used boots, sainsburys or tesco own brand just wherever dp happened to be shopping. then after about 4/5 weeks i moved to sainsburys basics towels.

You are better with the maternity ones as softer on the sore bits and you will be glad they are soooo huge believe me :D

I was just going to buy the boots own brand. wasnt sure. how many packets would you say i need (maternity pads for hospital bag and few weeks after) and normal pads?

yes the first ones were maternity and yes i too was grateful for the extra padding! more packets than you think. i would buy 10 and take 2 with you. think i had about 6 packs and just sent dp for more when i needed them.

I liked the Boots ones I remember.

God yes you will be so grateful for them, and wearing 2 at once and changing them every hour. I would take a couple of packs to hospital - my hospital provided some as well because the lovely midwives change them for you if you are totally immobile as I was post-section.
