Posted this in the pushchairs bit but bit quiet there, so popped it in here, sorry!...

Have come across a P&T E3 for sale locally for what seems like a very good price.

If anyone has had experience of these could you purlease answer a few questions lickedysplit?

1: Will it be suitable/ not too faffy for a newborn and 2.10 yr old?? I have heard mixed things about fannying about with toddler seats whilst trying to insert newborn, etc??

2: Do you think a very nearly 3 year old will fit in the front seat as I believe it's raised up higher whilst newborn underneath?

3: Did the Phil and Ted's Sport model replace this and are they much different?

Thanks for any input!

The Sport did replce the E3. Off the top of my head, it's lighter, has a reclinable doubles seat (the E3's is fixed) and I think it locks closed when the E3 doesn't.

My tall 3.5 year old fits in the front seat although his head does brush the hood if we use it.

The only faff I found (with my Sport) was getting the newborn in the back if the toddler was already in. It's much easier once they get past 6 months and are in the doubles seat

I have an E3 and I love it but there is no way I can get DD in the front with the hood up or raincover on when set up for a newborn and thats been the case since i discovered i was expecting again (DD was 2.3 then). I would chance it if it was summer time but no go for me as DD2 due Oct. A lot of people say they put the 2nd baby in the back seat at 3 months with a bit of padding to support them but I opted for a nipper 360 twin to see me through instead.
Have tried my toddler in sport and it was no different size wise. I have heard people say the vibe has more head height.
The E3 doesn't lock when closed and the double seat does not recline, however i just bought the sport double seat and put it on my E3!

I loved my E3, but dc1 was only 16m when in the upper seat so was out by 20 months or so when dc2 was out of the cocoon. Surely a nearly 3 year old won't be in there much and so when he gets popped in for the end of a walk he'll be tired and happy to sit anywhere. The E3 is not a sleeping pushchair, more for getting from place to place quickly. if you need both dc to sleep in a pushchair then I'd go for a nipper or a mountain buggy.
