Hey all,

I was just wanting to know if anyone has used:
'the birth compnay' (with Dr Gibbs)
OR
'the harley st center for women'
for private antenatal care.

I am looking at both just for additional antenatal care on the side of using NHS and NHS delivery.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Cheers
JK

i saw Dr Gibb once for a miscarriage. he was very kind and i liked his clinic. i wouldn't go back there as i have bad memories for obvious reasons but my impression of him was good.
however, the person i'd really recommend is Prof Stuart Campbell at Create on Harley St. He is a real expert in his field, with a very senior NHS background as an obstetrician before he went private, and he does fantastically detailed 3D scans. We had a 14 week scan with him and were there about 45 minutes as he checked dozens of different things. real contrast to the 10 minute scan we had at 12 weeks on the NHS.

I used Dr Gibb for my last delivery and am planning on using him again. I found him very reassuring, calm and exceptionally professional.
He did mention to me though that he's retiring and may not be taking on new patients - I assume though that another ob/gyn is taking over.

The birth company is fabulous. Dr Gibbs is professional and kind, as are all the staff there. The complimentary therapies on offer are very good too. I found reflexology particularly helpful.

Dr Gibb is one of the very best you'll find but I don't think he is taking on any new patients personally for natural births...unless you've been to him before. He's trying to retire and is building his legacy to pass to the other excellent obs within The Birth Company. I adore him and the staff - he did my ELCS 10 months ago and I couldn't have asked for more.

The birth Company is great. It has everything you could need to help you through birth, Dr Gibb, and 2 lovely and informative midwives. I had pregnancy and birth care with them in January this year. Always a professional friendly voice on the other end of the phone.
