Brown spotting at 6 weeks - 4 days now - help!

I am 6 weeks pregnant and on Saturday had a swollen tummy. I couldn't do my trousers up and when I went to the loo I wiped some brown spotting away. It has been there everyday since. Its not red blood and its not heavy and my tummy seems to have gone back to normal. It looks like 'old blood' or the end of a period.

I have a slight throbbing feeling in the tummy sometimes. Has this happened to anyone else?

I have a daughter but have miscarried twice before and they were both pretty immediate. Pain then blood. This has gone on for 4 day now....so not sure what to think.

Hi, I had this at 5+5 weeks, some light bleeding and brown discharge. Go the GP's and ask for a referral to the EPAU at your local hospital so they can scan you and see whats what.

Good luck - and for what its worth I am 26+3 now, so bleeding/discharge doesnt always have a sad ending Smile

Do a search, its really really common honest. Try not to worry (hard I know). Loads of people always come on and say they had it and it was all fine. I had it, thought it was the end of the world, and am now 21 weeks with no further problems.

I had this around 6 or 7 weeks - just a couple of brown drops when I went for a wee in the morning and then wiping and then a bit of a clot when I went to the loo that night. Nothing much else thereafter. The doctor was totally unconcerned about it and just said to let them know if it turned red or was sufficiently heavy to fill a pad. At my booking in appointment, I mentioned it to the midwife and she just said it would have been implantation bleeding and was totally normal and fine. I'm now 31+3 and I've had no problems.
