2nd time mum = huge belly?

I know you're supposed to be bigger with your second pregnancy, but i'm 8 weeks and i'm huuuge. i can't cover it up anymore (so much for not telling people till 12 weeks...)maybe i'm having twins?!

any exprerience, anyone?

My dad guessed I was pg with my second at 5 weeks gone.

I'm skinny but I did podge out faster with my second DC. I told people at 8 weeks each time as I was either sick or in maternity trousers.

I'm a second time mum and likewise I'm much bigger this time around, since I was about 7/8 weeks along! Not twins as I began to suspect :)

im 3rd time and HUGE im usual size 8, NONE of my jeans fit, how ill keep it under wraps i dont know

Also 2nd time pregnant and also already huge! People started guessing from about 10 weeks saying I was either getting fat or pregnant So I was quite quick to tell people I was pregnant as feeling vain and don't want everyone thinking I had eaten too many donuts Quite reassuring that this seems to be a common experience!

I am 32 weeks now and was huge at first but it seems to have evened itself out now and people are commenting that I am on the small side - reckon your muscles are just slack 2nd time round so you grow quickly at first?

Me, too! 14 weeks with DC2 and have been wearing maternity clothes for a few weeks already. And before that, only wearing cleverly-disguising clothes!

With DD I didn't even wear maternity stuff until 18-20 weeks. I've just been looking back at a few photos, and I'm as big now with DC2 as I was at 20 weeks with DD. Damn these stomach muscles (or lack of!).

Does anyone know whether we will be huuuuger all the way through, or will we catch up with ourselves eventually, IYSWIM? I felt massive with DD towards the end, and I only got to 37 weeks...

I'm 6 weeks and i'm bigger now that I was at 12 weeks last time! I'm going to have to come clean tho as I'm being suspected as eating too many pies.

Oh yesssss, my bump isn't that much bigger than it was in April and I'm 35 weeks now. It's just went ''ppppffffoooooooof'' and that was it

I'm pregnant with DC 3 and have got bigger quicker with every pregnancy. Couldn't tell until about 20 weeks with 1st, with 2nd was obvious from about 10 weeks and with 3rd i've looked like a water buffalo since week 6 lol think my stomach muscles packed up and left home years ago :o

Similar story here, showed much earlier this time round (DC2) than with DD.

But am now 36 weeks, and don't think I am much different now than I was with DD ..... my stomach muscles just gave up earlier this time I think

I am expecting number one. At our hynobirthing class almost everyone is the same size.
There are four first time mums and one who is expecting number two. The four first timers are all about 33 weeks along. The one on her second baby is 20 weeks and as big as the others at 33 weeks - I think its totally normal to be much bigger, much quicker the second time around.

I wasn't bigger with no2 (in fact was prob smaller) but got bigger quicker (if that makes sense!)

I was big early on with DS, and am larger with DC2! Apparently your uterus is never as small as it was before children... But I wasn't bothered about not telling people - most people had guessed by the time I told my friends at 6-7 weeks as I was already bloated out with wind. I started showing with actual baby bump at about 10 weeks, I think. I'm a shortarse, it just pushes all my internal organs up and out very soon!

awww dont tell me this people lol, im terrified now im gonna be like a whale. with my 1st never had to wear maternity clothes, the biggest size i had in clothes was a few size 10s but most was 8s, even though at 1st cause i was only small i got a stiki out belly but towards end and i went 2 week over due, there wasnt much there lol. but now having my 2nd and i think im gonna be huuuugge, im bout 6 weeks, havent got a bump or anything yet though, that wont last for long though :)

I was massive at 12 weeks in this pregnancy (2nd) and thought I'd end up like a whale, but now at 39 weeks I'm not really any bigger than I was last time - despite stuffing my face with biscuits every day!

I too am much bigger second time around.. am currently 10 weeks and am the size I was at about 14 weeks first time around, there is certainly no hiding it anymore and I am in maternity trousers! Hanging on for my 12 week scan so I can officially tell DD - 2.5 years old - though I think she will just say 'I know' as she keeps talking about her brother!

with DC1 I had a very small bump (I totally looked out of place in the antenatal class - but had by far the biggest baby in the end!). now pregnant with DC2 (28 weeks) and my bump is as small as in my first pregnancy....

I am in maternity clothes and have put on at least 2" around my belly, yet have only put on 2lb in weight. It is very obvious that I ma pregnant and so I am avoiding all but my closest of friends at the moment.

My bump came progressively earlier with each baby but ended up evening out over time.

Lovemy I am desperately waiting until I can tell my DD who is 5 - she is going to be so excited but I am having a CVS in two weeks so i am going to have to hang on until I get the results back from that. Hard though
