Hi all,
Awaiting the arrival of my first baby, went out for dinner last night and had chicken, 3 hours later had diarrhea and two hours after that was vomiting the whole dinner up. Am worried about whether there will be any effects on the baby? He is still moving Ok this morning. Can anyone advise?

Am also hoping that I don't go into labour in the next couple of days as am feeling tired and weak and would like to recover first.

You'll be fine. I had a really nasty bug at week 35 and the only thing the hospital were concerned about were my fluid levels (if i couldn't keep water down they were going to give me an IV, but I could). The worst thing about it was the excruciating pain I was experiencing....
If you're worried pop to the hospital and they'll just check baby's heartbeat etc... out (or give your midwife a ring).
plenty of rest and fluids are, I suspect, what the Dr will order. Hope you feel better soon....
