help, im 34 wks gestational diabeties, on metformin,

Hi all im on metformin, with bad stomach cramps and diahorria, to the point what i eat goes straight out,i not eaten anything today, it keeps my sugars down, it is the slow release stuff, i cant stop eating, my bum is sore to the point of bleeding, and piles have shown up, i feel absoultly awfull, but my baby is big, and suffer from spd as well as anemia.how long should i keep it up for, its been 3 days. xx im 34 wks gone, with my 4th pregnancy, wasnt gb before.

I've had metformin for PCOS rather than GD but gasto side effects are very common and normally settle down after a week or so. For PCOS anyway you normally up the dose rather than starting on the full dose - did they do this with you?

You must keep eating as taking it on an empty stomach will make it worse. You might want to speak to your GP or midwife if you're concerned.
