Which week do they book you for your elective CS?

Which week do they book you for your elective CS? Is it at 39 weeks? Thanks.

I think it is 39 weeks (have a meeting with consultant at 34 weeks - about 6 weeks time - to discuss this so will let you know how it goes, if they tell me).

Mine's booked for next week - I'll be 38+6, I could have pushed for it to be 38+4, but they are still a bit weary about CSs before 39 weeks for baby's lung development....

Depends where you are, here it's 38-39 weeks. I managed to get 38 weeks bang on as 39 weeks is my other sons bday, plus I have medical issues which means I have never got to 39 so they were more giving, booked at 20 week appt.

My last trust was 39 weeks, no arguing booked at 36 week appt.

Anything after 38 weeks - thus giving a bit of leeway to work round public holidays, obstetricians' theatre days and possible absences, and emotionally significant dates.

mines booked for 39+4 which is mainly down to the fact that all the elective slots were booked up for the week prior.
Have been to hospital again today to see if any cancellations or spaces popped up and nothing. Midwife says its hospital policy not to book any in before 39 weeks. But if I go into labour I jump the queue.
Am SOOOOOOOO desperate to have this baby out now

mine is booked for 39+3, they wouldn't do it any earlier than 39 weeks at my hospital as no medical grounds but I am just glad they are doing it!!!!
