I'm 25 weeks with my first baby and last night, at a night out, met a friend of a friend. This guy zero'ed in on me and the conversation went like this:

Him - Oh, you're pregnant, when are you due?
Me - Not till Nov, v excited etc.. etc..
Him - my wife's due in October. Are you ready for the fanny searing pain you're facing?
Me - excuse me?
Him - well I watched a birthing video and the horror you are about to face is seriously unimaginable. You cannot even imagine how awful and painful it is going to be
Me - well I was a birth partner for my friend a few years back so am pretty aware of what to expect and am feeling ok about it.
Him - you seem a bit calm. Trust me, you'll turn into a "MumZilla" - they all do eventually.
Me - right, lovely. Hopefully not though hey?
Him - how are you getting on with giving up the alcohol anyway? Are you hating it? It's awful isn't it?
Me - to be honest, i don't miss wine but I've really struggled to knock my cocaine habit on the head. Anyway, must go find my husband, see ya.

Seriously - what kind of a man says that shit to a woman, let alone a pregnant one!!!
Oh and just in case it isn't clear, I'm not taking cocaine, that was to shut him up and get away from him!

I am regularly surprised to discover the really low level of bloke that some woman will put up with. I mean really, some woman has let this arse get her pregnant. You've got to wonder why she doesn't think she can do better...

ugh what an absolute w**ker!

hope he's looking forward to male pattern baldness and future rectal prostate examinations. what a delightful way to view the way we all enter the world - 'fanny searing pain'!

What an absolute cock!
Since when did fannies become appropriate small talk subject matter?
Wishing his wife lots of luck...!
