How faint was your BFP if you tested at 12dpo?

I am so, so, soooooooo confused and worried just now. Trying to cut a long story short, I thought AF had started but then it stopped after a day and I got the faintest of faintest BFP on internet cheapies at maybe around 8 dpo. Then more spotting followed by fainter BFP and tested again next day getting BFN. Now I have been spotting with the occasional tiny bit of red but mostly brown (sorry TMI) for almost a week but feeling really sick so took another HPT this afternoon (nearly missed peeing on the last stick I have for now) and got a super faint line!

So what the hell is going on? I have posted about this when it all started and I know I will just have to wait til the end of the week and test again to see if, fingers crossed, there will be a stronger line...

Has anyone else been through this? I have only noticed since we are TTC whereas I would not even have thought of testing at this stage before TTC...

I havent been through the same but I tested when I thought I was about 16 dpo but turned out to be approx 10-12 dpo. The line was as feint as feint can be. I actually picked the test up to throw it away and noticed it as the light shone through the window on it...

Am 35 weeks

A faint line with COLOUR in it is a positive! I have spent hours over the last 24 hours staring at extremely faint lines on 2 cheapo Sainsbury's tests (don't recommend them) wondering if I'm going mad, then went and bought an expensive test today(First Response) and it shows up MUCH more clearly as a positive pink line, even with evening pee. Similarly last pregnancy I went and got an expensive Clearblue test which showed the result unequivocally after 3 or 4 cheap tests were inconclusive.

And the bleeding sounds normal!

Thanks so much. I just thought I was waiting for the cramping and the pain that goes with MC any day but this has been going for almost a week with no other AF like symptoms (apart from sore boobs and nausea which I don't get usually...)

I had early MC before DS and it started like this but got really heavy really fast and was excruciating cramps.

Think I will get First Response test for the weekend when OH is here unless bleeding starts...

I did a test at around 12 dpo I think, and got a line so faint I had to hold it just right in the window to see it

I follow the "a line is a line as long as it's in time" thing, so I counted it as a positive, but DH wasn't convinced. Waited a few more days and the next ones were much darker.

So I would say if a line came in the time limit, it's a positive, Congratulations!

Thanks Beckie, Im cd28 today and last cycle was 31 days.

If I don't come on by Sunday I will do the other test Monday morning but I think a FR may have come up + if I were pregnant even if I were 11DPO rather than 14?

Mind you with both my previos pregnancies I tested every dy from 10DPO and got negatives until 13dpo.

I had the faintest of faint lines, almost threw the test away as the line didn't show up in the requisite 3 minutes or whatever it is. Anyway left it there and looked at it again about an hour later and extremely faint line visible in bright light. Was unconvinced, thought it might be an evaporation line. However retested a couple of days later to get another extremely faint line which showed up a little quicker.
Am now 15 weeks pregnant. Have to say I turned up for the 12 week scan almost expecting there to be nothing in there. But there was! I will keep my fingers crossed for you!
