I had exactly the same at 6 weeks (a very little red blood too) and was devastated, thought I was having a miscarriage. Had a scan which didn't help as couldn't really see anything as it was too early. Had another at 8 weeks and there was a heartbeat. Am now 20 weeks and can feel it kicking!

I know its hard, but try not to worry. I think a bit of spotting is actually really common early on and can just be it burrowing into the lining of your uterus a bit more.

I had a tiny bit of this the other day and lots of people came and told me how common it is with a healthy pregnancy!

Try not to worry, but do ring your GP and organise a scan if it would help to reassure you.

Hi Yummy saw this and had to post. Like you I had this in my 1st preg which did result in a MC, HOWEVER, had the same in 2nd and thought that it was all happening again at 7 weeks. It in fact didn't and I have a 2 yr old little girl.

I am currently 37 wks preg and had the same again at 6 wks. It may be implantation bleeding which is very common in early pregnancy but not really told to us.

If the blood continues, becomes bright red or is accompined by painful periodlike cramps see your doctor or go to A&E. If you are still worried just go and see your doctor anyway. With your history they will understand. Best of luck and don't worry.

I dont want to freak you so I considered not posting this. Its not something I would normally tell someone who is pregnant but i post it in the hope that you avoid my situation and have a healthy baby in 33 weeks

I had a very similiar issue when I was 6 weeks pregnant.
The pregnancy did go to term but ds was too small too make it (he was stillborn) They said the brown discharge like you are describing was the first indication that my placenta wasnt working. There were other indications eg The af test inidcated high, my blood pressure was dropping

If they had picked up on all these signs then they would have done 2 growth scans around 32 weeks , found the problem and ds would be here.

So in the short term I dont think its anything to worry about .. just something to make sure the hospital team monitor towards the end

I really hope your pregnancy goes well and you have a beautiful son/daughter in the new year

I hope you dont mind that I posted thiws
