Rib flare or not??

I'm 29 plus 2 and today I've had what can only be described as like a band placed around my ribs. It's really painful and it hurts to breathe, it's mostly concentrated in the centre of my chest where the middle of the bra would sit.

It is quite painful and I was just wondering if this was just rib flare or if I should be contacting someone about this??

I'd contact someone - see your GP today. I had a bit of rib flare but it was on the left hand side of my ribcage, between the ribs, not in the middle.

A band around your ribs sounds a bit different.

doesn't sound much like rib flare I have been getting it these last couple of weeks and i would describe it as a more burning/stretching pain a bit below the bra line and generally to the left hand side.

Mmmmm - i would contact a m/wife too. I've had rib flare since 26 weeks (now 35+5) and it was always quite low down.
In the middle and if it's hurting to breathe could be a sign of something else - especially cause your third trimester i would get it checked.
