I have suffered from hypersalvation and hyperamesis since i weed on the tset strip 30 weeks ago. I have been off work for 6 and a half months sick and been in hospitalized a few times. Its been hell but and now that im starting to feel a little glimmer of hope i am wondering if there is any other women out there who have had such bad experiences also. I dont think there is enough support for woman suffering from such bad pregnancies and although the hospital were great it was very much 'get on with it,it will be over and worth it in 9 months;. Any advice or experiences to share anyone?

Hello,
I've just joined this site to find out if anyone else has suffered from hyperemsis. This is my first pregnancy ,Unexpected too and also had no idea what to expect.Im currently 14 weeks
In my 8th I started to feel a lot of nausea and fatigue, then the smell of basically anthing with a smell including food was absolutely unbearable & foul and then by 9th week the vomiting 4+ a day, nausea, motoin sickness, stomach pains, headaches, emotional disturbance, distress ALL came at once. It was as if i had had a body shock.
This is the first week I have not vomited, can actually walk and speak and eata little an actually feel human again but I've been through 6 weeks of solid hell!!
I just want to say any woman who has exprienced this, I have absolute sympathhy and understanding cos no one can understand hoe serious this affect you until you have had it!
I feel better to have read that there are women who have expressed their ordeals and i've not been the only one.
To make my situation worse I've had no one there to look after me as my partner just freaked out once he found out sbout pregancy&basically went out every night(still is) and ignored me.
I want to say to anyone suffering right now.it is vital you have someone there to look after you, essential they support you emotionally &sympathise as much as possible. you need as much care as possible becasue this a seriously debilating&distressing condition.
I did not have any of this & i nkow i would have felt somewhat better if I had becasue it does affect you mentally as well as physical.

I wsih there was more support for us out there, like an organistation or group. if there is i have been unable to find very little on support or extensive information on the condition.
It is NOT like morning sickness.
I would be greatful to hear of anyone else who has suffered or is suffering from this condition.
take care
