I am fed up. I'm 15+2 and I still feel yucky most days (although with periods of feeling ok). I still have nausea, although not as severe, my breasts really hurt, I have awful wind and heartburn.

I am just getting a little bit despondent as I rarely feel like going out, in fact it has started panicking me at times. My worst times of the day are the morning and tea time. Please tell me it will get better because I'm starting to get anxious. :(

I sympathise. I was expecting 'morning' sickness to go at around 12 weeks but it wasn't until around 16/17 weeks that I started feeling better. Hopefully it won't last much longer for you. I'm 38+4 now and despite being a bit big and uncomfortable, the last few months have been soooo much better than the first 16 weeks

PickleSarnie · 09/08/2010 09:51

I started feeling normal and non pukey about 16 weeks. It was a bit bizarre though because I stopped feeling sick which was good but I'd yet to feel baby move so I didn't feel pregnant at all for a few weeks after that. But i had loads of energy and actually enjoyed those few weeks.

There IS an end in sight for you though - a good few weeks of feeling human before the indigestion and lack of sleep kicks in!!

Lavitabellissima · 09/08/2010 09:53

17 weeks I felt better until 20 weeks when I got severe heartburn and acid reflux!

The joys of being pregnant Smilehope you feel better soon!

slimyak · 09/08/2010 11:11

I'm 16 weeks and my morning sickness has been getting better for the past couple of weeks although my evening sickness has stayed with me. Last night was the first time I felt OK in the evening so I'm hoping that it easing off all round.

WalkTheDog · 09/08/2010 11:52

Week 17 (am week 18 now), it actually got worse week 16. Still can get a little tired but overal energy has returned to prepregnancy level. Now much keener to do things. No longer feeling/being sick. Enjoying food again.

Hope you feel better soon

Took my dd out swimming this afternoon, and being stupid I didn't have a proper lunch before I left and now I feel proper shite.

Ah well at least dd is happy and entertained, how I love the summer holidays combined with constant nausea. And I have yet another 4 hour drive up to Oxfordshire on Wed as I need to get dd up there as she is going to Spain with her Dad. I am so not looking forward to all those hours on the road.

I was wondering how you've been doing rocklover recently, as I know from your posts you've been suffering with ms.

I'm now 12 weeks and ms improved a bit on the 10 - 11 week mark but just had 3 days of it getting really bad - like as bad as it was at its worst at 9 weeks. Just sucks and feels like it'll never end doesn't it?

I'm back to work at 16 weeks and assumed I'd be fine by then (and have a few weeks to catch up on what I've missed/buy bigger clothes etc) but now I'm not so sure.

I also agree with the anxious at going out - I've been out the hosue less than 10 times in the past 8 weeks (6 of those excursions were to the doctors/hospital!). I just don't feel up to it. I feel really isolated. Last week when I felt a bit better I got out to local shops and it felt really odd - once i get OK I'll definately have to gradually get myself back to 'normal' with lots of little trips....but I need to be back on form in a month for work.

I'm sure that at 15 weeks you are really close to feeling fabulous.

Rocklover · 10/08/2010 09:46

I hope so Angels, I have woken up this morning and feel pretty vile. I have already decided I am not going out today, it'll be bad enough getting in the car for 4 hours tomorrow.

I really hope 16 weeks is going to be "the" week for me. For some reason I have the thought that I am making myself feel sick (nausea was my main syptom when I suffered from anxiety). I am scaring myself thinking I could feel like this until the end of the pregnancy.

Don't panic, i actually felt like i wanted to die until 17 weeks, then one day it just went away, and i dared to start thinking that i could possibly cope with the rest of the pregnancy. 39 weeks now and feel like total shit but the bit in between was much more bearable.. you'll be fine- keep fighting!

Rocklover · 10/08/2010 09:57

Thanks Palace, I have to keep fighting as I have to get my dd up to Oxfordshire tomorrow. I haven't been sick yet, but i'm having moments where I'm very close to it, like this morning.

Some days, like Sunday I don't feel too bad and managed to go to the park then to the pub for a drink with dp and dd and then had a roast dinner. Yesterday and today, just bleugh!

Blimey that's more than i did! I literally didn't go anywhere in January or February, was pretty much confined to bed. Apart from work, which was just the most depressing thing in the world as i was waiting till mid feb to announce the news so everyone assumed i was skiving off- judgemental bastards.

Anyway as soon as i felt well i went to cuba for a couple of weeks, that soon cheered me up. Mind you, i don't have any other kiddies to look after...!

Rocklover · 10/08/2010 10:09

Well I went out on Sunday with alot of fretting before hand, but was I ok when out. I am absolutely dreading the driving tomorrow, but I have to do it, no choice.

DD is off to Spain with her Dad on Friday, so I am staying at my parents house before dropping her off in London on Thursday. The thought of all that travelling makes me want to curl up and die.

Rocklover can't DD's Dad come to you to collect her/meet half way? seems only fair and hours of driving isn't great. Just the thought of the stress of that would be enough to make me feel sick.

Rocklover · 10/08/2010 10:49

Exh doesn't drive and is on holiday abroad until Thursday (the day before he takes dd to Spain, life of riley eh?). My dad would probably offer, but he had a heart attack a few months ago, so there is no way I'd let him. It's me or nothing! Bummer.

I hope you feel better and up to it. If it helps I had 3 days of terrible feeling sick leading up to my scan appointment. I didn't think I was going to make it to the scan and got really shaky with nerves that I'd feel ill/be sick but when it came to it I wasn't too bad. Am hoping my 3 terrible days were nerves building up to the appointment.

Just think of how much rest and relaxation you can get when DD is on holiday

Rocklover · 10/08/2010 11:11

Aww Angels, I had my 12 wk scan a few weeks back (well I was almost 13wks) and I felt horrendously sick the whole time. The worst thing was the sonographer had to press my tummy REALLY hard with scan thingy which made me feel like throwing up. And it took her ages to do the measurements as baby was moving so much.

I have never been so glad to get out of anywhere in my life, despite being happy to see the baby obviously lol.

I am planning to relax and do as little as possible when dd is away, especially as it is my birthday on Saturday!
