what to do if you lose your maternity notes?

I left them in hospital earlier in the week..and they can't find them on the ward
I am having a bit of a panic, but they didn't seem too concerned.
what can i do?

ask your midwife

will do tomorrow when the practice is open....they never answer at the out of hours switchboard!

i lost mine 6 years ago when pg with dd and they just did some more for me. my mw just had to gather all info from me again such as family background. don't think it was really a big problem, just a little inconvenient. good luck xxx

yey...just got a call from the labour ward and they found them buried amongst random junk! quite a releif as it would have been a bit of a hassle..
also i had all the originals from my hospital stay so surely they couldn't be replaced if lost?
