1 year old toddler and 13 weeks pregnant with twins..

Hello :-) this is my first post (i think) on here. came to register tonight, only to find that i had already done so a few months ago!! bad baby brain!!

Anyway, my fianceand I found out this week that we are expecting twins!! Our first son was 1 year old last saturday. We knew we were expecting another, but very shocked to find out it was twins!

Anyways, I was hoping to get some advice, I;e, best ca that takes 3 car seats, best pram for us, any other practical advice we should have. any books you reccomend reading?

Were both quite daunted at this prospect. Fiance works from home too, so come Jan/Feb, there will be no escaping each other!!!

I completely freaked when I found I was expecting twins. I remember feeling really shocked and out of control that there could be two little creatures inside me, without me knowing, instead of the single foetus I'd pictured

Twins are different to singletons, without a doubt. It is out of print, but I would definitely recommend tracking down a copy of Twins, Triplets and More by Elizabeth Bryan. Check out abebooks or TAMBA. I found it invaluable.

Otherwise, the best advice I can give you is to split the kids up from time to time so that all 3 get some individual attention. It takes a bit of organising, but will pay dividends.
