Hands up who is listening to a lot of Mozart?

I intend to give birth to a baby genius so have started listening to Mozart and other classical music in earnest.

Actually I was mainly worried that it would come out and only respond to Britney or Kylie.

Anyone else playing music to their bump?

does the Big Brother theme tune count?

I play lots of music all the time, but it tends to be the sort I want to listen to, not specifically for the baby. Apparently babies will settle to music they hear before birth, so I figure he can get used to the usual soundtrack of my household, which is a mixture of various kinds of rock, classical and arabic (I bellydance). One of DH co-workers told him her DD sleeps best with Slipknot in the background, from her in-utero musical education!

I won a Lullabelly in a competition, and I've been piping in audio books, mostly for me (they're so relaxing) but also hoping maybe bub will get the influence and grow up to love reading! And I made a mix tape of pregnancy-related songs... jeez, I have too much time on my hands Blush

Do you just play music usual way or put headphones on bump?

My DD did recognise as a tiny baby, music I had around during pregnancy. She went to see Morrissey and U2 before she arrived but the thing she recognised most was the Sky News theme tune!
