I'm 36 weeks with DC3 and have suffered with dreaded Braxton Hicks from early on in all three pregnancies. I know they stand me in good stead for preparing my body for labour and birth (have had two home births with no pain relief and hope for the same for this one)....

However they are really starting to hurt now. To the point i yelp in pain and have to start breathing and concentrating on relaxing techniques!

Does anyone have any tips or advice to ease it?

I don't know but will be watching this with interest, 37 weeks now and having the same thing, it's rubbish isn't it!

Lie down and breathe deeply. If they get worse, you are probably not having Braxton Hicks but in early labour.

I found having a cold drink helped as it woke the baby up who kicked like crazy and this seemed to stop them.

Me too (and also DC3) - really thought I was going into labour last night with them but no - boo!

They were coming every 3 - 4 minutes and hurt. Getting a lot stronger and more regular in the day too.

Also hoping it means a quickish labour!
