Hi

I'm looking at the Fisher Price Open Top Cradle swings... and i was wondering - do other mumsnetters think they're worth the money? Seem expensive - but also look pretty fun....

Has anyone got one? what age are they good from? Are they worth the money Confused

Thanks!

a) try one at a mates house first - some babies hate them

b) buy secondhand - find a local NCT sale or try ebay or gumtree

i had a graco swing for my daughter a few years ago and it was great, well worth the money! She went in it from birth but as she was a big baby grew out of it after about 5 months.

Am expecting twins now and am def going to get another swing - have already been looking online and tesco direct and babies r us both have some swings on offer half price at the moment so they are only about £45. They're not the fisher price ones though but if you are not fussed about colours etc then could be worth a look. Ebay also have some good deals as have looked there aswell.

I bought a secondhand swing for DD in desperation during the first colic-ridden few months. Some swear by them; she hated it.

I'd definitely try to get secondhand if at all possible.
