Tender area - above and left of my tummy button

I'm 29 weeks pregnant. About a week ago a small area about 1.5 inches up from my tummy button and over slightly to the left started to feel tender to the touch. It's got worse and is now really quite painful if I sneeze or jerk in a certain way. Pain is dramatically reduced when I wake up, but by about 3pm and into the evening it really starts to hurt.

I called my midwife and felt fobbed off by talk of the pain being the baby's head in a certain position - I'm sure it isn't.

Sound familiar to anyone? I'm half concerned it's something serious like placental abruption, but because it's better in the morning I am hoping it's some sort of muscle strain.

Baby still moving lots and no bleeding etc.

Any advice on what this could be or how it could relieve the pain would be appreciated.

Thanks!

is it after you have eaten anything fatty by any chance. Or it might be a small hernia starting.

are your bowels normal? sorry for that question

I'm feeling a bit better now thanks! Baby has moved and pain has eased, still there but not anywhere near as bad. Thanks for your advice! x

I've had that for a few weeks but to the upper right of my bump.

I'm 38 weeks now.

When it's really bad I take paracetemol.

I too mentioned it to midwife but she wasn't concerned. She said it was most likely a foot that had done the damage.

It is very annoying though isn't it?
