Desperate for a third baby but tummy muscles were badly split as a result of last two. Could this be a problem?

wouldnt be a problem it might just make your tummy look abit worse after another, also heard of like hernias coming through aswell, but i know that you could improve them it might not be a massive improvement. but outs good right? my aunty had a baby same time as me and hers got damaged, she had abit of physio and now hers have gone back, u should visit your doctor and see what they recommend

mine split and i was told that they never go back properly and now i am left with a 'not so flat tummy'. No matter how many exercises i do i can still feel the seperation

oh dear, im really scared now, ive just found out im pregnant today 4 days before my period even due. and im scared of what my tummy is going to go like

I got split abs with my 1st baby. Never sorted them out. I always have a bit of a "pot belly" unless I loose a lot of weight and then you cannot really tell so much (although the loose crepey skin that I get when I ditch the fat looks just as unattractive). Blush
My advice - have a few more kids. You won't have time to look in the mirror - never mind care! Grin Life is for living and enjoying - don't worry about your looks so much! Wink

On the upside - I have good legs, perky boobs and no cellulite. You win some - you loose some. Grin

Some physio and later pilates (if with a properly qualified instructor) can help immensely. Some pilates can be done during pg, too, which should at least help the problem to not get too much worse. And then I agree with LetsHaveAnotherOne's attitude!

Thanks everyone! Had physio after dd2 for a good few months but did nothing for me at all. More worried about back problems etc. with split being so big - stopped caring what I look like naked a good while ago!! xx
