Baby isn't really kicking all that much...

Hey guys,

I'm 22 weeks today and was wondering how active your baby was at 22 weeks. I don't really feel much kicking and I know I shouldn't be worried as it's still early days, but I do need a little reassurance as to whether this amount of kicking is normal for this period.

Thanks!!

Hi I am 22 weeks on sat and today for example I have felt her loads wheres as yesterday I hardly felt her at all. She tends to be more active when I am eating and when I am lying still (not always though) I sometimes feel her alot when I am sat at my desk at work, I think it can depend on lots of things like where your placenta is etc try not to worry (even though I do sometimes) x

Agreed with Janski, sometimes go a few days not feeling much, then its a hoof in the bladder or (the one I hate) the roly polys!

My mum said she felt my brother move more than me as she was very skinny when she was pregnant with him. I think every time is different!

Dont worry!

Hi. When I was pregnant I didn't feel the baby at all until 23 weeks and then between then and when I gave birth I only felt what I thought we're proper kicks twice. If I watched my bump I could see her squirm from side to side but she just didn't kick around much at all. I was constantly worrying about it but all of the midwife visits went fine and now my baby's 11 weeks old and is constantly kicking her legs and thrashing her arms about. I'm not sure how normal my experience was but I know that my midwife said that she saw a whole range from women being kicked black and blue to others who didn't feel much at all. She just said to check that I was feeling about 10 movements a day (I can't remember what week that was from though) but these didn't need to be kicks, squirms would do!

I'm with you on this.. I'm 22 weeks.. I could feel the bubble sensations since 18 weeks and in the last week they have got much more prominent, however I haven't felt anything which feels like a proper 'kick' yet which is worrying me too. Soooo hard not to worry.

I'm nearly 22 weeks and at about 20 weeks (after about a week of flicking and popping), i had TERRIBLE ligament stretch, and then I could feel the baby quite a lot. Except for the past few days. It seems much quieter. I think it's normal at this stage...I'm hoping so

I didn't feel any kicking until 24 weeks. Then it was only every now and then. Now at 26 weeks today I have felt him move all day. Much more active. I think it can change from day-to-day so I suspect he may be less active tomorrow.

Phew!! I'm glad I'm not the only one then! I was getting worried :-( I feel him kick when I'm sat at my desk or when I lie on my side, but sometimes I feel nothing for hours and I wonder whether he's ok in there.

I wish there was a way to check up on your baby when you feel a little worried lol!

P.S - Seasister - I feel your pain re the ligament stretch. They can be nasty!
