in the last week I have run over my handbag in a car park. Today I got off the train at the wrong stop and had to style it out by striding off and walking miles to work and I've just sent an email to an entire DEPARTMENT, thinking it was my husband, telling them my swimming costume's too small for me.

Anyone else got no brain and would like to share the "hilarious" consequences?

Do I get credit when it appears in the article?

I'm not a journo, I work for a council! Must be my brilliant writing style.

I'll send you a copy of me email if you like. Actually, I can see why you'd think that, the last line sounds like something out of OK! magazine. I'm honestly a real person though.

I walked into a shop a few weeks ago selling off old Cadbury's Cream Eggs and had to ask what time of year it was!

lilllysa · 07/08/2010 09:53

BalhamM2B · 07/08/2010 10:08

I got into the lift at work and stood in there for a few minutes wondering why it wasn't moving. I hadn't pressed the button. On finally arriving on the correct floor I thought I'd nip to the loo before my meeting and headed straight into the Men's. Blush

I am no longer able to remember days of the week for more than approximately 6 minutes.

I was trying to write my name on a mango (we have to label stuff in work fridge) and wrote 'milk' instead.

It took me ten minutes to decide whether I wanted cream on my hot chocolate in Costa. At first, the barrista was irritated but by the end, he was just pitying.

palmtreeparadise · 09/08/2010 15:15

LOL

My favourite is putting the milk in the cupboard and the coffee in the fridge :-/

emmyloo2 · 09/08/2010 15:19

I seem to be a bit scatty and forgetful.

I am still laughing at you sending out the email to the entire department about your bathers though!!! Hilarious and exactly the sort of thing I am likely to do. Except knowing my luck I will send a bitchy email about my boss to my boss..... Shock

shell96 · 09/08/2010 15:28

Aargh I am forgetting everything!

Forgot the access code at work so after locking the keypad with so many wrong attempts had to walk round to main reception (other side of building) to get in.

Forgot my pin code at cashline and had to walk back to car to find out what it was. by the time I returned there was a huge queue...

Someone at the weekend asked me where we were staying and I said "Oh at my mum and dads house" WTF?! We were staying at home!!!

Totally losing the plot I think... will it ever return? Confused

boobellina · 09/08/2010 15:35

It was a while ago now but I sent a really important e-mail on behalf of my boss with the sign off 'look forward to spanking you soon' I should have typed 'look forward to speaking to you soon' not one of my finer moments.

I had DS in stitches; I was talking to DH about birth of DC2, and plans for holidays later this year, "we'll need to wait till "DS Name" is 3 weeks old to get passport sorted"

DS fell about laughing, and DH looked a bit confused!

I've lost eggs within 3 mins of bringing them home - sent DH to the car to look for them, asked guests if they'd seen them. They were in a carrier bag, in front of me in the kitchen!

And I've done the wrong cupboard/fridge trick too. Usually, I put the pepper grinder in the fridge, milk in the cupboard, that kind of thing.

aactionmum · 09/08/2010 15:45

i'm always confused :( i used to be extremely well organised - now i'm trying hard to be organised, but somehow i can't because i forget putting things in the right place, or i forget where the right place is Blush

i can't remember the date for more than 30 seconds.

i put 5 things on my to do list for today, was only able to finish 2 of them... i still have time to do the other 3 but i'm too tired...

i also forget birthday parties (luckily being reminded by friends!), meetings etc.

will it ever end? will i be 'normal' again? Confused

Headbanger · 09/08/2010 15:47

I put a jar of syrup in the fridge, and the milk in the dresser. I then carefully wrapped up some mouldy cheddar and threw away a new and rather expensive pack of Greek cheese. Then I left the keys in the door, and the door open, and slept blissfully all night - whilst my husband was working a night shift.

I am not pregnant.
