OK deep breath

Back ground

  • i am EBF
  • No AF since March 09

Went on holiday (22/06) and was very bad at taking the pill. i.e take two in one day as i forgot.

Can i be pregnant? I know i can be if i am honest

But when do i test?

I'd probably nip to the pound shop and buy a pack of three tests and test a couple of times over the next fortnight.

How old is the baby? Do you mean exclusively breast feeding or extended breastfeeding.

Why do you think you might be?

addie81 · 31/07/2010 22:38

I would test now and again in two weeks. Not with a pound shop test though. I got negative results with internet cheapie type tests even when I was pregnant - get a clearblue or a first response so you can actually rely on the result!

OK thanks

MunNWLondon - i am on mini pill and i missed taking a couple of pills.
Yes i am breastfeeding a nine month (seven month corrected) around 4-6 times a day and once most nights but he slept through every night on holiday.

I am going stop being an ostrich and test

Thanks again

It's possible, however unlikely.

You say exclusively breastfeeding, but at 9 months, presumably you've started to ween? Once you've started your baby on solids, the chances of pregnancy increase, even if you're still BF a lot and even if your periods haven't come back yet.

If you're worried about it, best take a test, that way you'll know one way or another. It's been more than a month since your holiday, so you can take the test as soon as you like.

Good luck, I hope the result is what you want it to be!
