Don't know anything about the medical aspect of this, but I guess first thing to do is get a pregnancy test.

They are highly accurate and should tell you one way or another. If still in doubt make an appointment with the doctor asap. There are surely other reasons for missing a period?

Must be a shock, even considering it....

my friend was sterlized and now expecting twins 11 years after the op was done!! Suppose the only way you'll know is by doing a test - good luck xx

yes it is possible, my best mate's mum was sterlized and several years later found she was 5 months pregnant

DetectivePotato · 31/07/2010 12:08

I suggest you test.

MrsFC · 31/07/2010 13:45

Yes, the only way to be sure is to test.

vmcd28 · 31/07/2010 16:03

yes, test, and let us know how you get on. Best of luck, however you want it to turn out. x

Test. It's possible- the clips (if used) can come undone. Tubes have been known to grow back together.
Unfortunatly, it's VERY important that you get checked if you ARE pregnant, to ensure the pregnancy is in the uterus - your risk of ectopic is greatly increased if you become pregnant after sterilisation - please don't ignore any symptoms such as side pain, shoulder tip pain, tender abdomen, spotting. Don't mean to scare you, but you need to be aware of the extra risk - just in case.
Of course -there are many other reasons for a missed period/sickness - just a bug, delayed ovulation (cycles can get longer as you get older), maybe the sickess is just something you picked up.
Hope it works out well for you.
