painful/uncomfortable bump - reassurance needed

Hi,

Can anyone give me some advice please. I am 24w and for the last few days have had a lot of discomfort/pain in my bump and through to my back. As a result am not sleeping very well and if I walk for more than a few minutes it becomes very difficult.
My bump seems quite tight and hard and the pain is like a stitch combine with internal sunburn (sorry strange analogy I know) hard to explain. It's not agonising, but constantly there.
LO has still be moving lots though perhaps a little less than earlier in the week. Is this round ligament pain or could it be something else I don?t want to phone the midwife unnecessarily ? particularly as I can?t even seem to describe the pain lol
any advice/help much appreciated xx

Hi I'm 25+ weeks and I am experiencing a lot of pain too. Mine is low down and into my groins and back. I was told yesterday by the midwife that it sounded like SPD. She said there was not a lot that could be done but you just have to take it easy, be careful when you get up and out of the car and keep you knees together when you roll in bed. I too am not sleeping well as a result and I have to say this advice doesn't really help!! I'm sure it is all normal but if you are seriously worried, call your midwife for a little reassurance. Good luck.
